Uniform

Ballet Kukan Academy follows Royal Academy of Dance uniform system. All students must follow this uniform system.

Having an uniform in a ballet class is very important for various reasons. First of all, it is easier for the teachers to see each student's alignment, which makes teachers to correct each of the student's posture quickly. The students also can see their alignment themselves easier that they understand where to correct themselves. All the students are in the same attire that no uniform competition happens in the class. The students must focus the contents they learn, not about the fashion they wear. The students' hair must be in a neat bun from Primary that they can develop their beautiful neck line, which continues to body alignment.

All other classes and some ballet classes have freedom to choose leotard for the students to enjoy. Please follow the uniform list below.

<Ballet Uniforms for young age and Graded Syllabus>

*The purpose of this class is more for creativity than checking their alignment. You can choose any style which makes your child happy and comfortable in the class.

Pre Primary

Light pink, short sleeves leotard

Ballet Intro and Pre Primary class

You can purchase your child's leotard in the stores (Any dance clothing store, Target, ToysRus, Walmart, etc.) Please follow the uniform explanation above when you choose.

Primary and above

Please purchase leotard from Ballet Kukan Academy.

<Ballet tights, socks, and slippers>

You can purchase Ballet tights and slippers in Dance clothing stores. Please make sure you go to dance clothing store to choose the right tights for ballet and right fitted shoes for your child.

Ballet Kukan will provide Ballet Socks (you cannot find them in the store) for $7.00 a pair.

<Character skirt and shoes>

Please purchase character skirt through Ballet Kukan Academy. We will measure your child and make one to fit right to your child.
